At times the best relationship with a therapist can be like one with a sports coach. When we are learning or perfecting new skills, we often look to coaches to help us. Think about Olympic-level athletes: they are arguably the best at what they do. Every one of them uses a coach or multiple coaches to help them fine-tune their abilities, see new strategies or their opponents in a new light, and develop mindsets that will help them win. Talking with me can often feel like having a coach in your corner, someone who wants to see you succeed and will hold you accountable to your goals. I have had decades of experience in helping people achieve more than what they thought was possible on their own.
