ADD/ADHD Coaching

We all know people who have a hard time sitting still, who don’t seem to listen or have any idea what was said to them, who interrupt others at inappropriate times, or don’t follow instructions no matter how clearly you present them.

While it’s normal for kids to forget their homework, daydream during class, or act without thinking, inattention and impulsivity decrease as we age, and ever-increasing hyperactivity can become something that gets in the way of success at work or in our personal lives. These in turn can lead to anxiety, frustration, and/or low self-esteem.

The three primary characteristics of ADD and ADHD are inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, although all three aren’t always present.

Adults with ADD or ADHD may:

  • Have trouble staying focused or get easily distracted
  • Concentrating on one subject
  • Completing tasks on time
  • Appear not to be listening when spoken to
  • Act without thinking
  • Interrupt others often
  • Have a quick temper or “short fuse”
  • Make sim

Symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity can be treated through coaching or with medication. Coaching can help develop skills and habits that strengthen focus and increase completion and attention to detail. Pleasure in enjoyable activities can be enhanced and used as a foundation for other responsibilities and obligations that may not seem as exciting or fun, but are still crucial to leading a productive and well-rounded life.

Coaching can make a dramatic difference in your or your partner’s life.
